Obituary
Henrietta R. Diaz, 74, of Kewanee, Il. died at 12:25 A.M. Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Il. She was born September 10, 1932 in Kewanee, Il. the daughter of Santos and Mercedes (Lomeli) Rodriguez.
She was reared and educated in Kewanee graduating from Kewanee High School. She married Manuel Diaz June 27, 1975 in Ottawa, Il.
He survives along with one son James T. (Susan) McClain of Lincoln, Ne., one granddaughter Bobbi (Jerry) Dillon of Plattsmouth, Ne., one grandson Jessie Martin of Lincoln, Ne., three grandchildren Hannah Dillon, Sierra and Tyson Martin and three sisters Lupe (Jim) Malone and Dolores (Don) Lazar of Kewanee and Jenney Richardson of Peru, Il. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Tony Rodriguez.
Henrietta had been employed at GE Electric in Morrison, Il. first working as an assembler and later as a floor supervisor prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Kewanee. She enjoyed keeping up her home and spending time with family.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. There will be no visitation. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Foundation.
