Evelyn M. Hall, 81, of Kewanee, Il. died at 4:40 P.M. Friday, January 11, 2008 at Kewanee Hospital. She was born September 2, 1926 in Valparaiso, In. the daughter of Chauncey and Edith (Spohn) Herrick. Evelyn had worked as a urse prior to her marriage. She married Delvin “Del” Hall on March 16, 1947 in Gary, In. The couple later moved to Kewanee.
He survives along with eight sons Delvin (Therese) Hall, Jr. of Valparaiso, Larry (Nora) Hall of Surprise, Az., Charles Hall of Valparaiso, Bradley Hall of Valparaiso, John (Susan) Hall of Valparaiso, Christopher Hall of Chicago, Karl (Laura) Hall of Ravenal, S.C., Michael (Laurie) Hall of Valparaiso, five daughters Diane (Jeffrey) Carpenter of Valparaiso, Jacqueline (Richard) Rajski of Portage, In., Bonita McElwain of Valparaiso, Rebecca (Hadyn) Motley of Kewanee and Edith Biller of Portage, In., nineteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one sister Virginia (Kenneth) Campbell, of Portage, In.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents. Evelyn enjoyed reading, various styles of music and traveling with her husband.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Valparaiso, In. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
