Lucille M. Boeji, 93, of Kewanee, Il. died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at her home.
Lucille was born January 5, 1916 in Kewanee the daughter of John and Elsie Vienna. She was reared and educated in Kewanee. She married Edward Boeji April 15, 1933 in Kewanee. He died July 3, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son “Gordie” Boeji on April 16, 2002.
Surviving is a son Terry Boeji of Kewanee and one daughter Janice (Noel) Beckaert of Millington, Il. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Lucille was employed as a cook at Kewanee School District #229 for twenty years retiring in 1974.
Lucille enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and river boat casinos. She will be missed by family and friends.
Private graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee, Il. Deacon Martin VanMeltebeck of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. There will be no visitation.
