William E. VanAutreve, Jr. 75, of Kewanee, Il. died at 6:45 P.M. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Il. He was born December 13, 1929 in Kewanee the son of William E. and Kathryn (Euchaski) VanAutreve Sr. He was reared and educated in Kewanee.
He married Naomi Marie Botts June 16, 1952 in Kewanee. She survives along with two sons William D. (Teresa) VanAutreve III of Galesburg, Il. and John E. (DeAnn) VanAutreve of Geneseo, Il. Two daughters Linda Vallee’ of Moline, Il. and Crystal (Terry) Mallery of Kewanee, Il. Ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one brother Marvin (Dinah) VanAutreve of Elmira, Il. His parents and one brother Robert preceded him in death.
He farmed for seventeen years in the Toulon area and later worker for twenty four years as a tool and dye maker at Hyster Co. in Kewanee retiring in 1995.
He was a member of the Kewanee Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed coffee with his Burger King “drinking buddies”, fishing and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee, Il. Visitation will be from noon to the time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
