Obituary
Anne C. Hammerschmidt, 94, of Hoffman Estates, Il. and formerly of Kewanee, Il. died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Our Lady of Resurrection Hospital in Chicago.
She was born August 7, 1910 in Kewanee, Il the daughter of Joseph and Selma (Prensunkas) Bagdonas.
She married Henry Hammerschmidt. He died in 1978. She was also preceded in death by two brothers William and Paul and two sisters Bernice and Mary.
Surviving is a son Fredrick (Jeanette) Hammerschmidt of Chicago, Il. Three daughters Cynthia (Ralph) Weiser of Chicago, Il. JoAnn Martino of Hoffman Estates and Margo (Al) Peterson of Long Beach, Ca.
Three grandchildren Steven, Selena and Erica and one sister Marcella Hays of Prophetstown, Il.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kewanee. She had been employed at U.S. Gypsum as a file clerk. She enjoyed animals.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Rev. Fredi Gomez Torres will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kewanee, Il. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Kewanee Animal Shelter.
