Obituary for Amanda L. Holton

Amanda L. Holton, 46, Carlock, IL, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. Amanda was born June 13, 1973, in Kewanee, the daughter of James and Nancy (Huber) Holton. Amanda graduated from Kewanee High School. Amanda married Tim Carrasca on July 2, 1994, they later divorced.
Amanda is survived by two daughters, McKenna (Ethan) VanDeRostyne, Kewanee, Jensen (Dayton Tynan) Carrasca, Bloomington-Normal; two grandchildren, Ryker and Hunter VanDeRostyne; one brother, Chad (Jennifer) Holton, Bloomington-Normal; and two aunts, Theresa (Tom) Reiff, Chicago, and Kathy Weiten. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandparents, Mary and Frank Holton and Asa and Patsy Huber.
Amanda worked for Delta Airlines at the Bloomington Airport. Prior to her job there she was a receptionist at the Kewanee Hospital. She enjoyed watching the Cubs. She especially loved spending time with her family and her dog, Ella. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Normal.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, July 12, 2019 at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee. Officiating will be Bill Currier. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Kewanee. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA.org).
