Obituary for Linda K. Gearhart

Linda K. Gearhart, 76, of Galva, died Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Kewanee Care Home. Linda was born March 28, 1944 in Aledo, the daughter of Haines and Wilma (Bickell) McIntyre. Linda attended a Country School House. Linda married John Gearhart, Sr.; he preceded her in death on August 18, 2018.
Linda is survived by her children, Tammy (Adam) Reizner, Round Lake Beach, IL; Robert (Melissa) McBride, Kewanee; John Gearhart, Jr., Kewanee; six grandchildren, Trent Johnson, Travis Johnson, Cassandra McBride, Cameron McBride, Revan Gearhart, Kayden Gearhart; four great grandchildren, Paige Johnson, Carson Pool, Raegan McBride, Theo McBride; and a brother, Cliff (Flo) McIntyre, TN. Linda was preceded by her parents; husband, John; daughter, Roxanne at birth; daughter, Debbie McBride; and two brothers, Gail, and Roger McIntyre.
Linda was a nurse at Kewanee Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1998. She also worked for Hospice Home Care and Henry County Healthcare. Linda enjoyed camping at Three Lakes and Giant Goose. She also enjoyed bowling and fishing. Linda was an avid Bears, Cubs and Bulls fan. She also enjoyed watching Nascar. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
There will be a private family graveside service at Pleasant View Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place at later date. Please leave an online condolence for Linda’s family at
