Obituary for Madeline Rodak

Madeline Rodak, 96, of Kewanee, died Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Kewanee Care Home. Madeline was born May 18, 1923 in Kewanee, the daughter of Charles and Selma (VanBrandeghan) Stuhlsatz. Madeline attended Visitation Catholic School and graduated from Kewanee High School. Madeline married Chester Rodak in 1949 in Kewanee. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1989.
Madeline is survived by one daughter, Susan (Mark) Bowen, Neponset; one son, Michael Rodak, Kewanee; three grandchildren, Katie (Scott) Schmitt, Jessie (Josh) Seiden, Bill Bowen; three great grandchildren, Abigail Schmitt, Layne and Iris Seiden; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Ann; brother in law, Wilber Blake.
Madeline worked at Walworth’s until her marriage, she was then a homemaker. Madeline was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and loved nothing more than spending time with them.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. Father Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Kewanee Food Pantry or the Henry County Humane Society, Kewanee. Please leave an online condolence for Madeline’s family at www.schuenemantumblesonfuneralhome.com.
